Summary
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Sitter Technician is responsible for continuous observation of assigned patients through Avasys Monitors. They will verbally redirect patients from engaging in at risk behaviors and summons nursing staff if the patient requires assistance by communication device or STAT Alert Alarm or Monitor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Level I- Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant I (NA I) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property. Previous patient care experience preferred.
