Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for providing quality care and a positive interpersonal experience for the patient. Additionally, the Cardiovascular Technologist will assist the physician in all aspects of invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registry or certification in an Allied Health field such as Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic or certificate of completion from CVT program required. Without benefit of degree, equivalent on the job training and experience of at least 2 years duration may be acceptable. At least 2 years of Cath Lab experience, cardiac nursing, special procedures, or respiratory therapy with cardiac/intensive care patients. Appropriate certification in any of the above listed fields. Current BLS certification required and ACLS certification required within six (6) months of employment.
